Application Of A Monitoring System To A Temporary Bridge
ABSTRACT: This article presents the application of a structural integrity monitoring system to a bridge. The monitoring system is part of the desire to know and guarantee good structural performance throughout its useful life. The application of the system to a temporary bridge presented here aimed to verify its functionality in real situations, in particular under severe weather conditions and with high volumes of traffic. The test the system was subjected to is part of a project to develop a composite panel with an integrated sensory network for mixed steel-concrete bridge decks. The results show its potential applicability in different scenarios.
