From Portugal to the international peloton
The Cantanhede Cycling team, sponsored by VESAM, made a remarkable debut at the Vuelta a Extremadura, a high-level race featuring over 110 athletes.
- Stage Victory: Bruno Nogueira won the Ribera del Fresno stage and wore the Yellow Jersey
- Sprint Classification: The team secured the Special Sprints classification
- Women’s Performance: Margarida Trovão and Carolina Bernardo debuted internationally as the 2nd and 3rd best Portuguese riders
- Team Performance: 5th place overall

The team returns this Sunday, March 15, at the Volta ao Concelho de Cantanhede — the National Season Opening race, bringing together teams from across the country.
