First Results of the European Additive Manufacturing Project
International consortium including VESAM achieves first experimental results with the implementation of additive manufacturing.
The consortium, composed of several national and international companies and entities in which VESAM is integrated, has obtained the first laboratory results with specimens produced through Additive Manufacturing. The data obtained ensures the determination of optimal production parameters, paving the way for the creation of structural elements to validate the applicability of the technology in real-world situations, contributing to the development of structural details that help reduce the effects of fatigue in metal structures.
The next consortium meeting, with the presence of representatives from ArcelorMittal, VEKOMA Rides, Huisman Equipment BV, Delft University of Technology, Universidade de Coimbra, DNV, and Star Institute, will take place at VESAM’s facilities next March.
